sync DBs on PC and iPhone w/o storing DB in cloud

It would be great if, upon exiting the program on either a PC or a smart phone, the databases on each would synchronize without having to use a common database file in the cloud using OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.

Perhaps copy the file to the cloud, sync the two databases to it, then delete the cloud file? For example, upload the DB when the iPhone app closes. Then download the cloud copy to the PC the next time the PC opens Password Depot. Then delete the cloud copy. Yes, the file will live in the cloud for a time, but not forever!
